Any Thoughts on SOPA?

I would like to hear if anyone has any thoughts on the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA).
Lots of people are talking about it and it is the top trending topic on twitter and online at the moment. I came across loads of articles on the subject and it has got me interested in the topic and its implications to the future of the internet and would be interested if anyone has any thoughts on it.

Lots of the big boys in the industry like Sony, Nike , Walt Disney are supporting it including the Rupert Murdoch ,Chairman and CEO of News Corporation, the world's second-largest media conglomerate.
Opposing it are the giants of the internet like Google and Wikipedia who came out with very creative ways of campaigning against the act.

Wikipedia had a 24Hour black out with a statement

“For over a decade, we have spent millions of hours building the largest encyclopedia in human history. Right now, the U.S. Congress is considering legislation that could fatally damage the free and open Internet. For 24 hours, to raise awareness, we are blacking out Wikipedia. Learn more.”

'Yesterday's SOPA blackout proved that we're lost in a world without Wikipedia'- read one of the headlines of the Telegraph, a leading newspaper in Britain.

Google had this on their website

Do you agree with SOPA? Do you disagree? What do you think of all the hype surrounding it?
Do you think it will impact on the future of our online businesses?
Please feel free to leave a comment.
